Agreements and nationality treatment

Agreements lists the nation's agreements. Nations treated as EU and Nations Treated As Non-Foreign list other nations and their treatment types. EU means European Union.

Each row has From and Until dates. Football Manager applies a row only between those dates. An empty box reads No limit. The status beside each row says what the game makes of the dates on the current in-game day:

StatusMeaning
Active (green)The row counts today.
From a date (amber)The row starts later and does not count yet.
Ended a date (grey)The row's end date has passed and it no longer counts.

Change an agreement, a nation, a Type or a date, then select Save Changes. Clearing a date box saves it as no limit.

Use + to add a row and - to remove the selected one. An added or removed row is written to the game at once and can't be undone from Edit History. A new agreement row starts with no limit on either date, so it counts straight away. Adding to the two treatment lists is unavailable with some connections to the game, and the + tooltip says so.

EU membership

The game counts a nation as an EU member while it has an Active agreement row for the European Union, the EEA or EFTA. The EU Member column in nation search results gives the same answer. A nation without such a row needs work permits for foreign players at its clubs. To put England back in the EU, see Remove Brexit.
