Custom start date files

Start a new save after the usual setup dates, including midway through a season.

Before you install it

• An FMRTE license is required to download the file.
• The file uses Marituas. You cannot use it if you intend to make that country playable.
• It is incompatible with any other Custom Start Date file.
• A game bug means transfer budgets do not increase in the first transfer window when using custom start dates, as noted on the FM26 download page.

Install and select the date

1. Open the FM26 Custom Start Date download, press Download, and choose the file for your desired start date.
2. Follow Installing FMF files and make sure the Custom Start Date editor file is enabled for your new savegame.
3. Press Add/Remove Leagues.
4. Select the FMRTE Custom Start Date fake nation.
5. Open the Game Start Date dropdown and select a date listed under FMRTE Custom Start Date.

We recommend setting the custom start date league to View-Only and using Original game mode.

Only Mondays can be used because of a game bug. Your save begins at 9am on the selected date. We update the files weekly to provide new start dates.

Combine it with real results

Install Real Fixtures and Results alongside the start date file. Results apply up to the 9am start time, check each results file's update date and latest included results.
