# Updates and what changed

> Documentation release: **FMRTE 26** (published release).

Use the release page for your platform to check whether an FMRTE update supports your Football Manager version.

## Find the release for your platform

| Platform | Download, supported versions and changes |
| --- | --- |
| Windows | [FMRTE 26 for Windows](https://www.fmrte.com/files/file/163-fmrte-26-for-windows/) |
| macOS | [FMRTE for macOS](https://www.fmrte.com/files/file/164-fmrte-for-macos/) |
| Steam Deck / Linux | [FMRTE 26 for Steam Deck](https://www.fmrte.com/files/file/182-fmrte-26-for-steam-deck/) |

Read **Supported Versions** for game compatibility, **Changelog** for fixes and additions, and **Known Issues** for listed limitations. Compare the full game version and store edition, not just “FM 26”.

Check your own platform's page when waiting for an update. A Windows release does not establish availability for macOS or Steam Deck. If your game version is not listed, wait for a compatible release.

## Check an update and load your game

1. Use **Version → Check for updates** in [Settings](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/settings.md#license-and-updates), or download the package for your platform above.
2. Reopen FMRTE and check the version shown in the app.
3. Fully load the savegame in Football Manager, then select **Load Game** in FMRTE.
4. Check **Savegame** and **Gamedate** in the status bar.

If FMRTE still shows the old build, follow the [updater checks](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/troubleshooting.md#the-updater-finished-but-fmrte-still-shows-the-old-build). If it cannot load the game, follow the [loading checks](https://docs.fmrte.com/26/help/troubleshooting.md#load-game-cannot-find-or-read-the-savegame).
